Giulietta E Romeo hotel
The hotel is located near the historic centre of Verona in a quiet side street, just 100 metres from the Arena.

Giulietta E Romeo hotel
The Giulietta e Romeo Hotel is housed in a neat, traditional, 3-storey building with some balconies. The interior is bright and modern, the simple television lounge and unpretentious bar/breakfast section both adorned with colourful paintings. The hotel offers a rich Continental style buffet breakfast every morning. The 30 guestrooms are decorated in soft colours, complemented by red carpets and burnished cherrywood furniture. All are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms with marble fixtures. Exhibiting pride in its association with Shakespeare's masterpiece, the hotel has two small marble balconies, but their view is unremarkable.

The only downside was that that our room was a little on the small side. Apart from that no gripes at all.
Top Tip
Take a train ride to Lake Garda which is only 15 mins by rail and fares are so much cheaper than the UK

What a gorgeous hotel and what amazing staff. I really didn't expect to find anything like this in a 3 star hotel. Room and breakfast were very lovely, but the best thing were the staff who were genuinely warm and helpful, not just polite and businesslike as in many other places. And while the location couldn't have been more convenient in the centre of town, it was incredibly quiet at night.
Top Tip
the arena is worth the €6. Climb up all the way and take in the atmosphere in and outside. For very good quality dinner and service but little money go to either Pizzeria Bella Napoli or Restaurante Bella Napoli (just opposite) in via Marconi. If you have the time take a train to Lake Garda only 20 minutes away. And if it is raining, there is a free shuttlebus to a large shopping centre on Saturdays leaving from Piazza Bra.
